The Department of Engineering Technology has many Bachelor of Science programs designed to meet the needs of community college transfer students in the areas of Computer Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management Technology, Concrete Industry Management, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Medical Informatics, Surveying Engineering Technology and Technology Education. Additionally, the Engineering Technology Department has four-year programs in Construction Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Surveying programs for those students with a high school diploma.
All courses are taught by a faculty with many years of industrial experience as well as advanced academic degrees. Most technical courses have a laboratory and hands-on components to enhance classroom instruction. Curricula are designed to prepare students for employment in a wide variety of technical fields, and graduate studies. Salaries of engineering technology graduates are among the highest at NJIT. Many of our students pursue graduate degrees in engineering, engineering management, and other areas.
